
Kerveli (Charavgi)
Kerveli is a beautiful small bay located in the eastern side of Samos island, across the Turkish coastline. It is approximately 13 km from Vathy, the main town of Samos. It is an ideal place for spear-gun fishing, for water sports as well as for swimming on a clean, sandy beach. The trees growing on the beach theirselves offer a cool natural shade. At the taverns next to the sea, you can enjoy seafood and traditional Samian food. The villas are very close to the beach.
Far from the noise of the city, one of the most famous villages, the picturesque Palaiokastro, is only 3 km away. Also, within short-driving distance, you will meet a few of the most beautiful beaches of the island.
Excursions
There are many things to do and see, including relaxing and swimming on nearby beaches such as Mourtia, Poseidonio, Psili ammos and Mykali. You can also enjoy visits to the museums of Paleontology and Archaeology and to monasteries like Agia Zoni and Zoodochos Pigi. There are also a number of lovely villages including Palaiokastro, a small picturesque and historic village whose name is derived from the ruins of an old castle which was once on the site. Until today, traces of ancient walls remain in the area of Agios Trifonas, while near to Kerveli there are also traces of living sites which may have come from the first civilization that have lived in Samos.

Samos is an island that offers a wide variety of outdoor activities as with its dense forests, the distant picturesque villages, with the indigenous plants and herbs and with its special fauna, it’s one of the most suitable islands for hiking in special organized paths.
