Excursions

There are many things to see and do, including relaxing and swimming on nearby beaches such as Mourtia, Posidonio, Psili Ammos, and Mykali.
One can also enjoy visits to the museums of Paleontology and Archaeology and to monasteries such as Agia Zoni and Zoodohos Pighi. Too, there are a number of lovely villages including Paleokastro, a graphic, historic, small village whose name is derived from the ruins of an old castle which was once on the site. Until today, there remain traces of ancient walls in the area of Agios Trifonas, while near to Kerveli there are also traces of living sites which may have come from the first civilization to have lived on Samos.
Finally, if you love to walk, this is the ideal place, as there are many paths that will lead you to very beautiful places

ABOUT KERVELI

Kerveli is a beautiful, small bay, about 13 km. from the city of Samos. Far from the noise of the city, it is a region quite and suitable for relaxation. The nearest village, Paleokastro, is 3 km. away, and numerous other beaches are within short-driving distances. It is an ideal place for spear-gun fishing as well as for swimming on a clean, sandy beach. The trees growing on the beach itself offer a cool natural shade. If you take a half-hour’s nap under them, you will wake up ten years younger! At the taverns next to the sea, you can enjoy seafood as well as traditional Samian food.
